NexusPro is an early-stage startup and a two-sided referral marketplace. It will initially serve the DFW IT Association, a professional community with over 1,000 members. In the future, the platform will expand to professional associations across North America, becoming an important hub for career networking and professional connections. NexusPro helps job seekers access high-quality referral opportunities while improving the match between employers and qualified candidates.

The Challenge

In today’s challenging job market, many job seekers often need to submit hundreds—sometimes even thousands—of job applications before finally receiving a job offer. For recent graduates, the challenge is especially severe, as they typically have not yet built a professional network. Applying through traditional job platforms such as LinkedIn or Indeed often yields little result, and these platforms are filled with fake job postings and unreliable information.

By combining verified users, authentic job opportunities, industry networking, and a streamlined one-click application process, the platform aims to make job searching more transparent, efficient, and human-centered. The product is designed to reduce the frustration of traditional job applications while increasing meaningful professional connections and access to real opportunities.

When I volunteered at the DFW IT Association, people in our community chat groups frequently asked for job referrals and job search support. Most messages were shared through we chat, but because the information was overwhelming and unorganized, job seekers, referrers, and hiring managers often lacked information alignment. To solve this problem, I designed a product that combines professional networking, information exchange, and most importantly, a job referral system.

First, I spent some time conducting user research and interviews to identify the user's core needs:

Over Impact

Nexuspro has just launched, and our first batch of association users have already joined the platform. More than 10 members have already obtained interviews through our system. The time to get interviews has been reduced by 60% compared to traditional platforms, from 1 month to 1 week.
