Tip of Tongue
"Tip of Tongue" is a creative artwork that embodies cultural fusion. The main character references Iron Fan Princess from one of China's Four Great Classical Novels, "Journey to the West," while employing Western artistic techniques.

Madama Butterfly
This project draws inspiration from the Italian opera Madama Butterfly. The illustration is rendered in the style of Ukiyo-e, set against a backdrop of Japanese culture. Through an anthropomorphic approach, the artwork merges the human form with butterfly wings, symbolizing transformation and fragility.

Fox Goblin
This illustrated character is inspired by the "Fox Immortal" (Huxian), a legendary figure passed down through Asia history. According to folklore, the Fox Immortal was originally a fox that, after thousands of years of cultivation, transformed into a human. They are typically depicted as stunningly beautiful, possessing a divine aura, and skilled at beguiling humans into making poor decisions.

Mountain Spirit
The inspiration for Mountain Spirit stems from my deep appreciation for ancient Chinese mythology. I was drawn to the idea of a solitary female spirit who embodies both the gentleness and power of the natural world. The piece explores the duality of beauty and isolation, serenity and mystery, by placing the character in a dreamlike, almost surreal landscape. Elements such as pine trees, mist, and winding mountains are not just decorative—they are extensions of her being, blurring the line between human and nature. The crescent moon, mountain mark, and vibrant eye makeup are symbolic references to traditional iconography, reimagined through a modern lens.

Persimmon and Jars
This piece is inspired by the artist’s childhood memories. The vivid persimmons and intricately patterned bowl evoke scenes from the artist’s upbringing, where such objects were part of daily life and cultural rituals. The bright orange persimmons symbolize abundance, warmth, and nostalgia, while the ornate cloisonné-style bowl represents the traditional Chinese craftsmanship that surrounded the artist in their early years. The composition brings together still life and memory, transforming ordinary fruits and tableware into emotional artifacts. By using digital techniques that mimic the texture of handmade paper and brushwork, the artwork blends tradition with modernity, aiming to preserve fleeting moments of the past through contemporary visual storytelling.
